Leila has been recognized as an outstanding lawyer by being named winner of the Regional/Suburban Lawyer of the Year at the Australian Law Awards. Leila has been a lawyer since 1996. She uses the extensive skillset developed on major projects (up to $500 million) to provide community family law education and assist clients settle sensibly and get out of court. Leila is a registered practitioner of the High Court. Leila has developed numerous family law webinars to educate litigants and provide continuing professional development to other lawyers. Her community legal projects include founder of Family Law 101, Australia's family law education platform supporting more than 20,000 separated parties learn how to navigate the family court system. The proceeds from workshops are donated to Make-A-Wish foundation who recognized Family Law 101 as a major sponsor in 2025. Leila is an administrator of a national family lawyers' platform which provides support to over one thousand family lawyers across Australia. Leila was raised on a cattle station in the outback.
